We have now finalised the development of short haul techniques for use with the B3.  With this we will be able to extract patients (and rescuers) from situations beyond the reach of the winch or if the winch is unserviceable.

The missing link up until now was a CAA certification for the cargo hooks to allow us to suspend human cargo externally from the helicopter.  We now have two, independent, pilot operated clamps.

We were testing on the evening of 30 May, above Rhodes Memorial.
